Type 1 Hayabusa at Kumagaya Flying School 1945.

by Francis Lee

1/72 Hasegawa Scale Model

These Hayabusa (Oscar) and Isuzu fuel truck are classic kits of Hasegawa. I bought them while I was at high school and I build them recently.

The diorama setting was base on the decals data I got that flying schools planes turn to become Japan Mainland Air Defence Force to intercept B-29 in 1944-45. This Kumagaya Flying School is located in Saitama prefecture which is just behind Tokyo, so it is good place to set up flying team to shoot down US bombers that came to bomb Tokyo area.

Video of this diorama.

30 Years of Phabulous Phantoms - Diorama of the Day

by Kasper Fischer

The Phantom has always been a favourite of mine. The size, the power and the emence payload it can carry. An amazing and beautiful aircraft. The production was started in 1958 at McDonnell Douglas and a total of 5.195 were manufactured, making it the most numerous American supersonic jet fighter.

This nice 1/48 scale F-4E Phantom II diorama is really interesting piece. I'm not sure whom did the but follow this link if you wish to see the full build. It is set as a 30 years anniversary version of the aircraft.
