RAF Lancaster B.III "Dambusters"

By Francis Lee

Model:
Revell 1/72 Lancaster B.III the Dambusters.

Recently I built up this Revell kit along with an Airfix Halifax, I quickly found the big different of old and modern tooling of plastic mould technology of these 2 kits. I spent more time to build up the tiny parts
of Lancaster, on the other hands the Airfix Halifax has no detail parts but I still need to spend a lot of time to fill in gaps around Halifax body. The two bombers come up with almost same size. The decals of the Revell Lancaster is so good quality (Made in Italy).

The Aviation Art of Steve Heyen

by Kasper Fischer

I spend a lot of time surfing the net in search of paint schemes, kool ideas for models or tutorials and I often stumble over other material. Today I was looking for Spitfire pictures, inspired by BasicModelling's newest video and I came across Steve Heyen.

I knew nothing about him but I really like most his paintings. He makes oil paintings and pencil drawings and sell them on his site. If I had a store, I would deferentially buy one of his pieces but I feel they may be a bit too much for the living room. He has tons of pictures on his page and I will only show a couple of examples here.
