Blohm & Voss BV 138 - Diorama of the Day

The BV 138 was introduced in limited numbers in 1941. After some modifications the main series (over 200 aircraft) was widely used by the coastal patrol and long range sea recconnaisance units across Europe, mostly from Norwegian and French bases. Because of its Jumo 205 diesel engines, the BV 138 was an economic aircraft and could even be refuelled by U-boats, a common practice during their North Atlantic patrols.

Banzai! - Diorama of the Day

Keeping in the spirit of Paul Keefe's beautiful 'Battle of Tawara' diorama, posted earlier on the MW, I saw this existing piece. I don't know if the correct technical term is diorama or vignette but this little piece really tells the story. 

The vignette is in 1/35th scale and was created by Chris Mrosko and was posted on Hyperscale. 

Australian Beaufighters - Diorama of the Day

This amazing Green Ghost Squadron diorama entitled "Aussie Sons" is build by Phil Pietsch and posted on Hyperscale. Click here to see the full article. Phil used the old 1/32 scale Revell Beaufighter kits and spend quit a long time detailing and converting them for the Australian airforce.
